Hurricane Irma Currently A Category 5 Hurricane With Maximum Sustained Winds of 175mph. Models Coming into Agreement that Portions of Florida May Be Affected With Potential Impact This Weekend. Storm Path Will Determine the Area Affected and Intensity of Storm.

Model projections now have Florida in the cone of uncertainty with landfall in South Florida as early as Saturday. Tropical Storm-Force Winds could begin affecting south Florida as early as Friday afternoon/evening.

FMIT is initiating their CAT Response Procedures in Orlando and is ready to implement the TurnKey Recovery Program with throughout the state.
