Hurricane Matthew Post-Event Follow Up
FMIT Claims Department has begun to transition from supporting initial Member’s emergency response needs – to scheduling Independent Field Adjusters to coordinate site visits and damage assessments.
FMIT Members Needing Assistance Identifying Damages that have not Already Spoken to FMIT should call 844.FMIT.CAT (844.364.8228). Report all Damages to Insured Property as FEMA Public Assistance may be Available for Losses that do not meet your Deductible.
FMIT Member Preparedness Actions

The FMIT Claims Team is currently receiving Rapid Damage Assessments from Members affected by Matthew, the most common being roof damage from severe winds.

Any Members who believe they have damage to insured assets need to perform Damage Assessments as soon as it is safe to do so and report them to FMIT.

Members should make sure that they have downloaded their most recent Insurance Policy from FMIT and from other Insurers.

Make sure that all Damage Assessment Team Members have downloaded “TrackDown – Government Edition” from the Google Play Store or the Apple iTunes Store and have logged in prior to the storm using your organization’s Username and Password.
